Hello O’ the Places We’ll Go Parents,

Coach Cam is so excited that you have enrolled your child in this amazing camp.  This week is designed to show our campers that there are many places that they can go locally to stay active and fit!

This means each day we will venture off site.  On the bright side of things, we already have enough drivers.  However, we need chaperones with an active UF ID that can get us into Lake Wauberg on Thursday afternoon (12:30-2:30).   If we don’t get three people with UF IDs to go with us we will just go to a local park instead.  Please email Coach Cam at cparker@millhopper.com if you can help!

In addition to your camp fee, you will be billed $40 for the cost of the trips.  Payment arrangements can be made at the front desk.

On Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, please send your child in comfortable summer attire, but note that tennis shoes and socks are required.  No flip flops, sandal, crocs, ballet flats, or anything else that are not tennis shoes please.    On Tuesday please send your child to camp in their bathing suit with a change of clothes.  Girls should have shorts and a shirt over their suit, with a towel and clean underwear to change into once we are dry.   Boys can wear a shirt with their trunks but should have a towel, clean underwear and dry shorts to put on once we are dry.  If anyone’s shirt is a water shirt, then a dry shirt should be sent as well.  Sandals and Flip Flops are permissible on Tuesday only.  On Thursday please send a bathing suit and towel with your child, assuming we are able to get into Lake Wauberg.

A lunch should be sent each day.  Please be aware that we will be traveling offsite and lunches will be outdoors for a while.  We will not be taking coolers, so if you pack perishable items please do so in a lunch bag that will keep those items cool.  No coolers please.  Each child should have a water bottle each day.  We will take a cooler of water that campers can use to refill on Tuesday.

If you have any questions please contact Coach Cam at cparker@millhopper.com

We look forward to seeing your camper on Monday for the first day of Camp O’ the Places We’ll Go!

Teacher Appreciation Gifts
Teacher Appreciation Gifts

adventure Each year the teachers and faculty of Millhopper Montessori School work incredibly hard to help our children learn and grow in a safe and healthy environment. During Teacher Appreciation Week we like to let them know how much we value their efforts. This year’s theme is designed to honor each individual’s interests and choices. As part of our Teacher Appreciation Week activities, the PTO Appreciation Committee is pleased to once again offer the opportunity to purchase for our teachers and staff a gift certificate to a local merchant of their choice. By many families contributing to the same gift, they are able to select something special. Participation is optional and we hope the program will alleviate some of the stress of this busy time of year. If you would like to participate, please place your order on this webpage or you may review the letter that was mailed to your home and indicate the dollar amount you wish to contribute next to the individual’s name. Please total all your contributions and return the form with cash or check (made out to MMS PTO) in an envelope to Crystal Sorrow by Friday, May 13, 2016. You may leave the envelopes at the front desk or hand them to Crystal directly. Gift certificates will be presented to each recipient during Teacher Appreciation Week with a card from the families who have contributed. Dollar amounts are not included on the card. Since the PTO is now a non-profit 501(c)(3), your donation may be tax deductible. Please speak to your tax advisor regarding tax deductions. If you are interested in assisting with planning Teacher Appreciation Week or if have any questions, please feel free to contact either of us at missyno@bellsouth.net or rimskoon@yahoo.com. Have a wonderful end of the school year! Missy Norman & Sheila Koon PTO Appreciation Committee
