Parents of Algebra I Students –
Hi! Students who take Algebra I need to take the End of Course (EOC) exam in order to receive high school credit. This test does not count as part of their Alg I course grade. There are several times per year that students can take this test. Middle school students can begin taking the EOC in the Spring. It can only be administered through the public school system and done at the public middle school your child is zoned for. The testing dates may vary depending upon the zoned school but it looks like Westside and Fort Clark Middle School dates are 5/13 & 5/14.
Attached is the registration form as well as the Student Parent/Guardian Information Sheet. I need these filled out and returned to me by Tuesday 4/29 morning so that your child may possibly take the test in May. If the May Alg I EOC testing date is no longer available, your child can take in July.
Tuesday (4/29) morning I’ll fax all the registration forms to the Alachua Co. Testing Coordinator, she will then take care of testing arrangements and contact you directly with the testing date, time and location for your child.
In the meantime, MMS will administer the ePAT, which is the sample Alg I EOC test that familiarizes the students with the computerized testing format. We will also create a school photo ID card that the Alg students can use for verification.
If you have any questions, please email me.
