Greetings and Happy Fall!

We’re excited that the school’s first big event is just around the corner – exactly 2 weeks from tomorrow – Thursday Oct. 24th, from 5:30-8pm!

A flyer was distributed yesterday with information about ticket purchases. Another will go home this Friday about opportunities to help share the fun by spending a session or two entertaining the kids and helping participate with one of our class booths.

We are delighted to have 12 super sponsor/volunteer families from our class who have already signed up – THANK YOU!!!!

For those who have not had a chance to review the information, Ms. Anita’s class has 2 of the most fun (and sure to be popular!) booths at this year’s Fall Festival – the Velcro Wall (still need 13 volunteers), and Pumpkin Bowling (still need 8 volunteers). There are also 8 openings for the school-wide Trunk-or-Treat event that winds up the night for all (the next day is a school holiday, which takes the edge off of a little later bedtime), as well as other school-wide options (Grill master, Haunted Hallway, etc.).

Here’s the link for online sign-up:

My family has been waiting to fill in gaps, and I imagine many others are trying to figure out logistics for the evening. With the big date rapidly approaching, it would be really helpful for those who would like to participate, to go ahead and sign up sooner rather than later, so that we know we have coverage for the evening and a fun time for all. In case you are not sure how you would like to participate, the 1st priority for our class at this point is to help fill in slots for our 2 signature booths. Alternatively, you may sign up to “Buy A Volunteer” who will step in your shoes at a booth. Of course, last minute volunteers are always needed and very much appreciated, too!

This will be the 3rd year for our son, West – he loves being a special helper, and passing out candy for Trunk-or-Treating. It’s the families that make the event so special for our entire school community, as we grow and make it happen together, with every effort, create memories and have a lot of fun along the way.

We look forward to seeing all of our families and enjoying the festivities to welcome the holiday season!

Please let us know if you have any questions or suggestions. We would be happy to coordinate with anyone on other thoughts, offers to assist, planning for the evening, etc.
