Students had a good time last week completing their Iowa testing. It was a change from our routine but most of them reported that they actually enjoyed the experience! We used our afternoon times to prepare some special surprises for our Mother’s Day Tea, which will be Tuesday, May 6th, at 1:30.
This Friday, May 2nd, we will be having a pizza party provided by the food bank in thanks for the students’ hard work in sewing and selling the potholder bowls to help feed the needy in our community. If your child would like to have pizza, they do not need to bring a lunch on Friday. Our students’ participation will also be covered by TV20 News!
Starting this afternoon, our students will be setting up shop outside our classroom to sell some of the remaining potholder bowls to the other families at our school. If you still wanted to purchase one, please do so as soon as possible. All bowls left over by Friday will be donated to be sold at the Empty Bowls fundraiser.
Thank you and have a wonderful week!
Ms. Erin and Ms. Susie
