Ms. Elizabeth and Mr. Yo’s Class Parent Night, Tuesday, October 18th 4:30-6:00 p.m. (Split Groups)
The children are very excited about our first Parent Night of this school year, Tuesday, October 18th. Parent Nights are for both parents and students to attend.
In order to accommodate everyone, the Parent Night (afternoon) is divided into two time slots: 4:30-5:15 p.m. and 5:15-6:00 p.m. Please be sure to sign up for a time slot on the Sign-Up Sheet posted on our classroom door.
Please keep these important aspects of Parent Night in mind when attending:
- Your child has been working very hard since the beginning of the school year and is very anxious to show you the work they have been learning. Please give your child your undivided attention. Please refrain from talking with other families and please make sure your cell phones are turned off.
- It is difficult to simulate an example of our daily work cycle during Parent Night but we hope that you will get some idea of what our work cycle might look like. An aspect that is extremely important during our work cycles is keeping a quiet environment in our classroom. I hope that you will help us keep our classroom environment peaceful by respecting this ground rule during Parent Night.
- Because Mr. Yo’ and I will be helping the children choose work and will be helping them with their work; this is not an optimal time for us to speak to you about your child’s progress. Formal Report Card Conferences will begin in November (details to follow).
We are looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday! We are sure that you will be very proud of the work your child has been exposed to and the activities he/she enjoys working with in the classroom! Please remember siblings are not invited to this event. Children currently attending MMS can attend the After-School Program. Please make arrangements for other siblings to stay at home.
