A Giant Thank You to All Our Garden Volunteers Whom Helped Plant on Monday!!!!!
We were very excited to have such a nice turn out of volunteers. It was wonderful to have so many family members available. The students loved having you participate!
There are many new works on the shelves involving stages of plants as well as life cycles of beneficial insects. There are color works involving flowers and eggs, and in the coming weeks we will have out a mortar and pestle with fresh rosemary from the garden.
The students also enjoyed having our seventh grade intern, Esteban, this week helping in the class. In the seventh grade students complete an internship in the school; in eighth grade they complete a week long internship in the community.
If on an assigned garden day there is rain, then typically it may be assumed that the following day (if the weather is nice) will be a garden day instead. This is a very exciting garden unit, and we are off to a fantastic start. Thanks for your time and energy.
