Thank you to everyone who helped out last Thursday with our Halloween festivities. The morning went very smoothly and the children had a lot of fun.
Thank you to everyone who brought in the plastic bags that we requested a couple of weeks ago. We should be fully stocked for the rest of the year so we will not need any more bags.
November Unit Studies
During the month of November, we will be taking a journey around North America. The students will learn about the terrain, people, animals, and significant landmarks/monuments of the continent. The students will also study the pilgrims and Indians as we get ready to celebrate Thanksgiving. The children will enjoy listening to the sounds of the American composer, Aaron Copland as they come to circle. Be on the lookout for your child’s art project inspired Jackson Pollock, an American artist who “threw paint.”
Our class will be celebrating Thanksgiving with a special lunch on Thursday, November 21st. Your son/daughter will not need to bring a lunch that day. We still have a few spots left on our signup sheet if you would like to donate items for our Thanksgiving lunch. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
Report Card Conferences
Parent/Teacher conferences will be held from Monday, November 18th – Friday, November 22nd. During this time we will discuss your child’s report card and his/her progress in the preschool classroom. Please sign up for a time on the sheet posted on the bulletin board outside of our classroom. If the days and times are not convenient for you, please let me know and we can set up another time. You can reach me at the school (375-6773), or via email, firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!
Paper Towel Rolls
Please bring your empty paper towel rolls to our classroom. We will be using them for a special project. Thank you!
Enjoy the long weekend. See you Tuesday, November 12th!
